  1. Hi Major,

Have a problem with divx to svcd.

Audio is out of synch ant I canīt put sub on it, because I can only convert with quicktime, it will not convert with mplayer?

Mplayer works fine with vob/ m2v files and subs is ok here and sound is in sync.

divx is ntsc 23.98 frames and I convert it to svcd pal 25 frames. I haven tried to convert it to svcd ntsc film mybe this will fix the problem?

How to stitch 2 divx files to one SVCD, I meen the movie are in 2 files and i want to combine the 2 divx files to one SVCD in 3 chunks for max quality of cause I can split 1 divx file in 2 chunks but then I get 4 cd.

    Thanks Major for excellent program.

error using mplayer, if just change to quicktime its convert just perfect but with out subs.

I know you asked for major.. but I can fix the audio sync problem for you: You should use the same framerate and the same sampling rate. This will fix the problem as it did for me. And the reason for the mplayer malfunction.. maybe there are spaces in the path or some weird signs. Don't use things as ! ? ; , .

As for putting the 2 DivX files into 1 big file 2 split that into 3 more files: Encode the 2 files and than join the result .mpg files. Than split the 1 big .mpg file into 3 chunks.

    Good luck!

  3. Hi

Ok I have to join the 2 files to one before i convert it, to something else, very good.

I am use to work with Canopus Procoder, here I you just drag the 2 files to the program and stich them. Sorry my mistake Major.

But I stll have the other problems with sound in sync and subs. I have tried to change the exstension but nothing works with mplayer if input files are divx/avi, can it have something to do if the sound is in AC3?

  4. Hi,

I have checked the . , / etc. but is was ok. But but but,

I was saving the file to my Firewiredisk, if I change the saving to my system disc it works with mplayer just perfect hmmm. Quicktime works with saving to my firewire disc but not mplayer hmmmm. strange?

Now I will tried with subs and ac3 sound

PS: It seems that the picture quality is much much better with Canopus procoder with same bitrate?

If you would have read my post better you would have found the answer to your sync problem. You must make sure the framerate and sampling rate are the same for the source and the output file

To get the sound in sync I will trie to do what you wrot to me, thanks

Is it possible to put subs on it? Divx to SVCD with mplayer checked and a subfile, because I canīt get it to work? It works fine with TSfolder or vobs
