I trying to burn some analog tapes to DVD+R with the above equipment and Aver DVD EZMaker. It won't burn. The error says the media is imcompatible. NEC lists Ritek media as compatible.
When I start NeoDVDStandard 4.1 it tells me "the DMA of one or all drives may not be enabled". I went into the BIOS and found that the DMA for all drives is set to auto. This is what I think it should be.
Is there a connection between the DMA error message and not being able to burn, or is it just a media problem.
I am able to burn CD's and I used Instant Copy to burn a DVD+R. But it took repeated tries with different pieces of media.
I'm running a P 4 1.6, 512 mb Ram and W2KP.
Also, is more RAM (over 512) helpful for DVD burning?
Thanks for the help.
