    I haven't been around here for quite a while. I just demoted myself back to a newbie. A newbie-like question: can you demux the m2v stream out of VOBs? If not, why is it technically difficult? Why can't we recover m2v stream without re-encoding?

    Of course you can -- there are all kinds of tools that do this (VOBEdit being one -- personally, I use DVDLab which demuxes as you import the assets).
