  1. I read somewhere recently that you're better off capturing TV which is interlaced instead of deinterlacing it because the TV will interlace it anyway? Something along those lines...sooo...is it better to cap video deinterlaced or not? The PCTV Vision software allows me to display/capture video as 2 fields interlaced, 2 fields deinterlaced, or 1 field only.

  2. If you capture 352x240(288)then you should select deinterlace(frame based),352-720x480(576)then you should select interlace(both A and B fields).

I always thought it depended on where you intend to play your final product.

Keep interlaced if the video is intended for the TV. (e.g. VCD, SVCD, DVD).

Deinterlace if it's intended for the PC (e.g. Divx, Xvid)

    Correct me if I'm wrong.
