I have footage captured from VCR in VirtualDub using Lagarith in it's unaltered state. These are my maste rfiles and any changes to them are made as new saves files. Most of this will be going to DVD or BD, but I want to upload some stuff to the web.

Since this is all interlaced footage, should I run it through a deinterlace filter first before uplading to the web, keeiping in mind that it's going to end up being on a site like YouTube, Vimeo, or Facebook, which is all flash right now.

  2. Yes, you have to. These sites only take progressive content.

    Never deinterlace your original!

Make a copy, and work your web content from there if you have to provide a deinterlaced version.
