Is this correct
As a newbie i have a very stupid question - If i increase the fps rate the video clip will run faster and get over quicker but will be less jerky other things being equal like (memory and CPU) Is this right??

Answer to your first question: 'Penzon. If you are only running Virtual Dub, then yes, you only have the AVI codecs available to output your final video format. However, if you learn how to frameserve to an encoder like TMPGEnc, then the answer is no, you then can output to MPEG-1, -2, m1v, and whatever your encoder is capable of outputting to.

Yes, the video will run faster. As for less jerky, I don't know about that as the motion will be sped up and un-natural regardless of your PC.
