I downloaded a 541mb .mpg file and i went to burn it using Ezcd and it says it cant and that i have to encode it, well its already an mpeg so what else would i have to do with it??? also why would it say theres not enough space on a 700mb disk to burn it onto???

dandmb: .mpgs come in many styles and formats. Those for vcd have to meet certain rigid specifications, like (from an NTSC perspective) 352x240 resolution, 29.97 frames per second, and 224 kbs mp2 audio and a video bit rate of 1150 kbs. If your file doesn't have these specs, or the proper header info, EZCD will choke and not allow you to burn. There is a program in the tools section over
<---- there called Mpeg Properties, or something similar which will allow you to check out the specs.
Also, there is a certain file overhead for vcd's which is why EZCD says your file will be too big. But for some reason EZCD usually indicates a heck of a lot more overhead than some other authoring programs. I have found that VCDImagerEasy 1.0.1 will make vcd's of files EZCD says won't fit.
