    my video is mp43 (s mpeg4 version3). every other video i have of this format plays fine.

    upon playing, a few seconds into it, the video starts playing one second at a time, with pauses in between each second. it then causes a big fuss and won't let me close the window (media player 7.1) and makes the computer beep and the mouse freeze, repeatedly. i cannot hit ctrl alt delete either.

    windows 2000.

    Change to XP Pro, it has the same functions as 2000 but works better with video.

    I've never had a problem with video using WIN2K. Sounds to me that he has a problem with that file.

    Just what does WinXP PRO do better video-wise than 2K?

    Where did you get this movie clip? I have seen this with special video clips that bring up your browser to take to some web site.
