I downloaded 4 divx files from a reliable source. The sound is out of sync on all of them so I guess whoever ripped them is to blame.
My question is this, can I do anything to re-sync the audio. There are no bad frames, I checked with vdub. The audio is about 4 seconds ahead of the video.
Does anybody know how to resync the audio or what programs I may need?
Thanks

I find it hard to believe that someone would encode and not check for that. What audio codec are they using? if it's a fixed 4 seconds, that's easy enought to do. Strip the aduio out with vdub, run through besweet and clip/pad the front and pad/clip (the opposite) the rear then re-mux in VDUB.
Fixed sync issues are pretty easy to do, the hard part is getting the exact amount of offsett. I've had to adjust 5 times once to get exactly in sync, took maybe 20 minutes total (you can preview in vdub, don't need to actually re-mux until correct)To Be, Or, Not To Be, That, Is The Gazorgan Plan
