I'm using Scenalyzer to capture with my Canopus ADVC-50. I must apologize if this question is stupid, but I'm a newbie. Is there any way to change the resolution of the capture? I have captured some stuff with my ATI card and converted it to DVD and everything looked great. The resolution used for those captures was 352x480. I don't even know what the resolution of my captures with the ADVC-50 is, but when I encode using TMPGEnc Plus, I set the resolution to 720x480. I made a DVD with these files, and they appeared really jerky during times of motion (this was a Hanna Barbera toon from the 70s). The strange thing is it looks to be okay when I play it with Windows Media Player after encoding. I use DVD Workshop to make the disc. Any suggestions on my TMPGEnc Plus settings? Currently they are:
Resolution: 720x480
4:3 Display
CBR 5000 kb/s
Interlace
DC - 8 bits
Motion Estimate Search (fast)
Top Field First (field order)
Source Aspect Ratio: 4:3 525 line (NTSC)
Video Arrange Method: Center
GOP Structure: IBBPBBP
Any help would be appreciated.
