  1. I burnt a DVD-9 to 2 DVD-5 using IFO Edit and DVD Decrypter. When I split and previewed, I discovered I needed VOB_01* and VOB_07*. The 07 was a Universal Studios logo. The progression of events goes something like this:
    vob01-chapter 1 title 1
    vob 07 chapter 1 title 32
    vob01-chapter 1 title 1
(During this time, a few logos come up and then the PG rating screen and then into the movie)

When I burned it to a DVD and viewed it on my computer, it progresed without any problem. When I inserted the disk into my DVD player, it would get all the way up to the PG rating and then stop completely (no errors). If I hit the PLAY button on my remote, it would continue into the movie. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

  2. The DVD Standard allows for this ie jumping from movie to movie back to another, but a lot of DVD players don't. This is because not all DVD players stick to, or include all functions of the DVD spec. Thats why Maestro users gotta be carefull doing cool stuff somtimes what works in it, and on pc software(Which will play almost anything) but not on set top DVD. It most likely was setup slightly different on the orginal dvd before it was ripped split and burned.

  3. Thanks Sean. I am not sure if this is the case in this scenario. I use DVD Decrypter and IFO Edit for ripping/splitting and burning. All other jumps and navigation work. Is there somewhere I can check to find out what is going on? On this burn, I didn't do anything fancy...just a strainght forward split and burn. Thanks again.
