  1. I used backup 1.3 and DTOX to burn Ice Age. I finally got my TiBook superdrive to recognize the DVD-R (generic AllMediaOutlet DVD-R) and I successfully burnt the movie. It plays perfectly on my Tibook dvd player. No skips, great audio, great quality. On my home DVD player (Panasonic RP-62) it skips and the audio comes in and out. It gets all blocky and some of the screen goes dark, then it plays fine for 2 seconds, then it does it again. Same effect on every chapter and every part of the movie. So why doesn't it play well on my RP62, but does fine on my Tibook?

  2. at a very rough guess, i'd say your dvd player can't read dvd-r's correctly..

  3. Did you stick a label on it? I have a few DVD's that won't play all the way through on my home player after I stuck a label on them. They still play well in the computer though.

  4. no there is no label on it. on the compatibility chart my player shows up as being dvd-r compatible. i might go to circuit city tomorrow with the DVD and see if it plays on any of their other players. maybe I will do an exchange or something.
