I went to purchase the TDK DVD-R 2x 15 count spindle from my usual vendor and they were no longer available at the vendor (not even a backordered listing). I went to several vendors and the package seemed to no longer be in their catalog. I went to another site and ordered a 40 count spindle figuring i'd get a large a spindle as possible and it took 2 weeks backordered to fill.
I see plenty of the TDK 4 & 10 pack with Jewel Case at Comp-USA and on the other sites.
I know that TDK is producting a +R/RW drive, are they no longer producing -R media or have they just split their production to do more + media?
I hope they don't stop making spindles, as I have had very good luck with their media and would prefer not to switch.
Also, I was looking for TDK DVD-RW media, and have been backordered on a 10 pack for almost 2 months, they seem even more scarce than the -R spindles...

Check out jandr.com, $35 for the 15 spindle, says they're in stock. Reputable outfit.

They aren't scarce, many vendors have them. The thing is, it seems they do not make it themselves anymore. I bought a 10 pack at jandr for 26.99 and they have the same media code as apple dvdrs and maxell dvdrs. Not that its a bad thing because apple and maxell media are very reliable also.
