When I attempt to open an AVI file in TPMGenc plus 2.5 (2.510.49.157)
    I get
file "F:\623\623_1.avi" can not open, or unsupported

When I run AVIcodec I get
    F:\623\623_1.avi is incomplete (too small)
Codec is identified as Sony Digital Video
    A1 codec PCM
    File : 5.76 Gb (1.102 Gb), duration 0:27:07, type AVI, 1 audio stream(s), quality 98 %
    Video : 1.72 Gb, 9023 Kbps, 29.970 fps, res. 720*480 (4:3), dvsd = Sony Digital Video, Supported
    Audio : 297 Mb, 1536 Kbps, 48000 Hz, 2 chan., 0x1 = PCM, Supported

The file runs in the main concpt encoder ok
    What is wrong?
What do I need to do to fix things?
    Thanks

It sounds like your missing a codec. The error TMPGenc is reporting indicates it can't read the file. It's also possible the AVI is corrupt. See if you can open the AVI with VirtualDub too.

Open the file with GSpot. It should tell you what codecs are in use, and if you have everything installed to properly decode it. Find it in the TOOLS section.
