just installed a 64mb radeon vivo (I'm guessing it's the 7000 model?), got it off ebay. I've had a similiar problem when I used to use the VE capture card by ati. When I go above 320x200 resolution, I start getting the jagged lines in the video. What causes this? My system:
ati radeon VIVO
256mb SDRAM (not DDR)
ASUS A7V mboard
duron 850
5400 rpm ibm drive (9ms)
Windows XP Professional
Direct X 9.0
I know it's not the hard drive because it's not hurting (light still blinks), My machine should be fast enough right? I downloaded the latest drivers from ati, and I'm using virtual dub to capture. Using divx or not divx as a codec doesn't seem to affect it at all (other than a huge reduction in file size).. I tried doing the tweaks in the help section, but I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. Any ideas? email me at: toyotaboy@iwic.net

Hmm... seems it's ok as long as I either capture 320x200 or 640x480. Anything in between and it stretches and looks bad. Anybody overcome this problem? Lots of people have posted that they've captured DVD resolution no problem.
