  2. well i never had a problem with them b4..I just extract the audio wav in Virtual Dub, then go to TMPGEnc and add the A/V files there..

CCE wont be able to pick up the XVID tho..I got some error saying "COMPESSION NOT SUPPORTED" or something..

There is way tho to get passed that tho if u use CCE..U can download Koepis Xvid Pack from this site -- http://www.dawnload.net/video_software/codecs_and_filters/xvid.cfm

There is an option called FOURCC Changer, and u can change the XVID tags to DIVX, if whatever encoder ur using wont read Xvid Properly..

TMPGEnc doesnt have problems tho, so i just use that and never have to worry about changing the original tag..

Keep in mind its still XVID..Ur not converting it, just changing the tag as to fool the encoder into reading it as DIVX-AVI..

  5. giftedretard,

I'm having the same problem, as well.. How do you "change tags" to DivX (from xvid, I assume..)??

I'm trying to convert avi files to DVD (mpeg2) and CCE keeps giving me error that it can't find proper 'decompressor codec'. Also, Media Player gives me the same error too..

    Please advise.. thx.
