  1. downloaded 100 file movie gangs of ny 2cds i knew that 2cds was not the full movie as it seems like 3cds on a bin file and as i expected it turned out as an avi file dvd screener. when i changed over to mpeg with TMPGE it took 12hrs. again something was wrong 12hrs? after it converted i tried burning it to a svcd with nero everything went wrong got an error message that wav was not in sync pixels in video was something like 525X 256 i thing its supposed to be 480x480 to run correctly. anyway is there any hope? can i change pixels? if anyone can help me can you give me a step by step on how i can get this movie im not that TMPge literate so you have to go slow with me PLEASE HELP!

Propperly it's in 16:9 screen-resolution. 480x480 is the one for SVCD (if 16:9, then with black borders).
Tell the mpg-encoder to auto add the borders, so the picture becomes svcd-compliant. TMPGenc does do this automaticly usually.

  4. try this guide:

For best quality, convert at the highest possible bitrate and split. Easiest way would be to convert each avi into two disks of SVCD meaning a 4 disk movie. As the movie is nearly 3 hours its probably worth it.
