When I view my xvid in WMP it appears as it should being a 16:9 aspect. Black bars on the top and bottom, with picture to the edges. However, after following the guides on the site, and trying to convert to SVCD for burning with nero, when I preview the finished product in WMP it has the 2 black bars, but the video does not go to the edges of the screen anymore. Any suggestion? Thanx.

The left and right sides of the sreen border. There is a black gap there, and in the original xvid there are none.

Burn it and play it on your standalone, I reckon it will be OK. I just encoded a film last night, I've just checked it and if I preview it in WMP I get the same thing. It plays correctly on my standalone though.

If you play your files in DVD software such as Power or WINDVD it should play ok.
