  1. I just bought a new vcr to hookup to my dazzle so I don't have to unplug mine from my tv every time I want to burn a vhs onto my computer. My question is: The cheap vcr ($46 at walmart) only has 1 video and 1 audio hookup. I doubt old home movies and such need the two audio jacks for right and left audio, but would I notice any difference between the 2 audio hookup vcr and the 1 audio hookup. What are the differences and when should you have a two audio hookup.

The difference is that one audio hookup is mono and two is stereo. You need two if you want stereo sound. That's pretty much it.

The only difference you might notice, depending on your encoding software and audio settings, is that sound would only be coming out of one side of your stereo speakers during playback... If you tell it to encode a monophonic soundtrack instead of stereo, you might get greatly reduced volume when the software mixes the two channels together -- or possibly, no sound at all, depending on which channel your software expects to find the audio on during a monophonic encode.

Or, you might not -- it all depends on the software and settings you're using. However, a cheap ($4.00 or so) RCA Y-adapter from Radio Shack (1 female to 2 male) will fix the problem nicely; just plug your VCR's audio output into the F side, then plug the two M's into the left and right audio jacks on the Dazzle.
