  1. ive tried my dvd, ulead video studio,Capwiz and they all capture video and audio nicely but of course the audio is a few millsecs off and as the file gets bigger its(audio) off more. Using DVD maestro for authoring and using the audio sync track function, but it doesnt work with the capturing process. Maestro will sync track when ripped from a dvd but not when capturing.
How do i get the da$%^m audio synced back?
    any help would be appreciated

  2. Have your tried capturing with VirtualVCR or VirtualDub. Both work for me except VDub will only capture at 640x240, so I use VirtualVCR. Both are free.

    http://www.digtv.ws

    Try 'em ..

You might want to do a test capture using MPEG2 and see if A/V sync problem is also there. If no sync problem occurs, then you will have to try other prog for caturing.

I tried every piece of software any one could think of due to the same problem. And I'm talking about DV captures from a camcorder.

I finally tried the capture program built into Vegas Video 3 (using upgrade patch too). BINGO!!!

I can capture 9 hours of video continous and NEVER lose sync now. It's so good is scares me.

I'm afraid to disconnect the cables now for fear I'll change something

I just ordered a Canopus ADVC-100 so I can use my Sony DV for it's intended purpose again. I only hope the ADVC-100 does as well at the Camcorder is doing now.

Try Vegas Video and see what happens. It's not cheap mind you, but I think they have a demo, or a lite version you could use just to test it out.

I sure made my life happier so far...
