Ok, so I have 500+ pictures that I want to make into a Photo Album using WinonCD 3.8. I make the album using jpgs that are all different shapes and sizes. Some are landscape, and some are vertical. When I load up the disc on my apex, everything looks fine. Then, when I hit 1 on my keypad to start the slideshow process, I notice that the top half of one person's head is cut off!
I want to know if there is a way to convert all of these different sized jpgs into pictures that, when played on my dvd player, maintain their aspect ration, but don't go off of the screen. I would use Nero, but I want the power of WinonCD. I am using the, keep original size and center, option, and using the NTSC video mode.
Can anyone direct me to a post, or tell me a way to resize the pictures so the whole picture is on the screen while maintaining the aspect ratio of each pic. A way to do this using a batch process as in Adobe or IrfanView would be most helpful.
Thanks for you time!

Here's something you should read an may not have thought about... http://www.vcdhelp.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?topic=38352&forum=1
Images on the PC use a pixel aspect ratio of 1:1. Images on S/VCDs do not. This should be corrected.
In this post there is also a description on how to create "Actions" in Adobe Photoshop for batch conversion of images.
As for you head chopping photo, this is because your TV will crop up to 10% of all sides of a full size image. I strongly suggest you create your source images without anything of visual significance (e.g., heads) within a 10% boundary.
The only other way of resolving this is to create a border for all your images -- a time consuming procedure.
Regards.

Well, I actually figured out my problem. It was because I had the wrong screen settings in WinonCD. I had keep original size selected instead of fill screen and keep aspect ratio.
Before I realized my error in WinonCD, though, I was using IrfanView to resize the pictures to about 80% of the original size. It worked for most of the pics except the very large vertical ones. Then you just have to find those vertical ones and resize them once more. This worked best for me. Hope that helps.
