ATI TV Wonder VE-Will it work (capture) using Sonic MyDVD4?

A friend of mine wants a quick/simple method of transfering his VHS tapes to DVD-R. The MyDVD 4 package seems to do everthing he needs, provided it will work with the ATI TV Wonder VE card.

Can someone tell me if this software will recognize/use his capture card?

I have that card and the software that came with it can capture as dvd ready file you can than just burn to a dvd. Or vcd ready file , which will be smaller than dvd and can fit more on a dvd disc because the quality is only going to be as good as the tape.

I was really hoping that Sonic or Ulead software would work. I have this BiPolar friend that just can't deal with much of a learning curve right now. Those packages are so effortless it would be great. I'm going to try an install of Ulead DVD Workshop in a day or so to see how that will work.

do not use the ati software!

im unsure of your products but ulead moviefactory will capture with that card.

i use power vcr and it is easy and captures great! i capture at 720x480 and encode and burn its easy and great!
