I will be purchasing a DVD writer shortly. I know very little on the subject, but, hope to learn a lot from this site & Forum. Nice site

My question is this. I have a series of 9 VCD's. After I get my DVD writer, Id like to transfer the material to DVD's, hoping to lessen the amount of discs.
    Is this possible?

Also, is it possible to use a product, like Uleads Movie Maker, to edit whats already on the VCD's, to include Chapter stops? Right now there arent any.
If so, would that be done after the transfer to DVD?

Yes, it is possible to burn VCD files to a DVD. Not all standalone players will support this though.

  3. Use TMPGEnc to demultiplex, use TMPGEnc to convert the audio to 48000, author audio and vidio files with spruceup, burn vidio TS with NERO. That's one way, there are more ways to do this job on this excelent site if you look for them. Have fun.
