  1. Hi, I'm a newbie at SVCD movies. I recorded a movie of 2h:30m in 3 cds using VideoCalc to calculate the bitrate and TMPGEnc to encode the files to MPG with 480x480 23fps... but when i watch the movies at my DVD Player ( Philco DVP-2500 ) the image quality isn't that good. At my friend's house the quality is better than in my house.. what's wrong?

  2. It could be your TV or DVD Player. Some tvs are obviously better than others. Does your friend have a better tv than you? does your friend have a better dvd player/newer dvd player than you?

  3. No. My TV is the same.. My TV is a Sony Triniton 29" and my friend's tv is a Philips 29".
My DVD Player is like 1 year newer than his player.
When i watch a movie at DivX format the quality is perfect but when i convert to MPEG-2, at dark images i can notice some errors on the image. Do you know what can be?
