  1. I am trying to burn 9 joined anime avi divx episodes to dvdr and am getting audio synch problems. Here is my method: First I convert the audio from each episode to a wav file with virtual dub. Then, using TMPGEnc, I convert each episode to ntsc dvd using the video files and the audio wav files I made. AT THIS POINT EVERYTHING SEEMS TO BE OKAY. After they are each converted to dvd there are no synch problem when played back in media player. The video is a weird aspect for some reason but this gets fixed later. The next step I take is to join the 9 episodes using TMPGEnc. Next I convert the new big eps.1-9 file to ntsc dvd using TMPGEnc.

When played back on my dvd player everything is alright during the first episode except halfway during the previews at the end of ep.1 the preview of the next ep. keeps going(AS IT SHOULD) but the audio starts for the opening theme song of the next episode when it should keep going as well insted of being cut off. Why does the audio get cut off I wonder??? From this point on the audio is completey and totally out of synch. I'm thinking that the problem is originating either during the joining process or the converting of the joined project to dvd. After those is when the problem can be verified.

I have tried many many different things and none have worked. The only other solution I can think of is to join all of the audio wav files and use those during encoding the whole 1-9 file to dvd. This seems like it would solve the problem but I don't know. CAN SOMEONE TELL ME HOW TO JOIN THE AUDIO WAV FILES??? I really don't know how. And if anyone has any other suggestions please help! I've looked at the guides and experimented on my own. I've already spent a good 50 hours trying to get this right and I'm really at my wits end. Please help if you can!!!

You can easily join audio files in Gold Wave. Open the program, then open file #1. Open file #2. Copy file #2. Select file #1. Select Edit--> Paste AT-->End. Close file #2.

Open file #3. Copy file #3. Select file #1. Select Edit--> Paste AT-->End. Close file #3. Continue copying the all the remaining files and pasting them at the end of file #1. Save file #1 -- Voilá!
    Hello.

  4. Yes I need to join them together because I don't want to put each individual 25 min ep on 1 dvd(of course). I could just do vcds but I'd rather not. I know ican make them work somehow and don't just want to give up.

It's kinda weird you suggested Gold Wave. I'm actually trying that before I even readf this. I hope it works. if it doessn't I'll just have to continue the old process of elimination game(God no!). I still wonder why the audio gets cut off though. Maybe because the sampling for the first ep. is 44100hz and the rest of the eps. are 48000? But I converted the first one to 48000 to match the rest and it still didn't work right. I'm a total newbie and this and I'm questioning everything that could help lmake it work like "to compress or not to compress", "compress to dv 48000 or 44100", stuff like that is such a pain in the ass when you don't know what to do or evn what it means exactly!

I'm sorry for such a tedious question and thanks for the replies so far.

  5. Ok I did it but there's a slight problem. It only let me join eps. 1-7. It says something about not having enough free disk space which isn't accurate, because I have over 50 gigs left on that drive. Anyway I'll try to use it how it is for now and see how it goes.
