Hello again.
I think I've just realised on something that has been bugging me for ages and I need one of you smart people to verify this for me.
I've been trying to put a 2 disc SVCD Screener onto DVD-r. I followed the guide on this site using TMPEGEnc but instead of making the finished MPEG I selected to split the streams for further encoding ie .m2v +.mp2.
I had encoded the SVCD's using the wizard and VBR setting so as to optimize the quality and the plan was to convert the .MP2 into .AC3 to make it DVD compliant whick I did with Besweet 1.4. When I authored it with Ifoedit and burned the image, everything went well until I played it on my quite expensive and new standalone player. When it played the sound kept kinda stuttering every 3-5 seconds or so.
What I want to know is. Is this because I'd encoded the video stream using VBR and the audio file was a CBR AC3 file. I thought this because when I encoded the video stream to CBR and the audio the same it played fine on my standalone. If this is true then is there a way of recodig to AC3 using a VBR?
Please help me!![]()
