Audio/Wav problems in Virtuel dub

I am following the guides here to make vcd, but when i try to make a wav file using virtuel dub i am getting an error message, Saying that the requested audio compression not is compatible with the input format.

In file information I can see that the audio stream compression is unknown (tag 0055).

I have made vcd movies before, so what is wrong ?

You are missing a codec. find and download a program called gspot. Open your avi in this program and it will tell you what codec you need. You can then install the codec and everything should be fine.
