I have Pinnacle's Studio 8 and am able to create DVDs with it. When I export my movie, I can either burn it directly to a DVD-R or make a copy of it on the harddrive so I can burn it later. My question is, is there anything special I need to do to burn it later? Do I choose "data disk" from my software menu and burn it as if it were computer data? Will that play on my DVD player? Thanks.

From the sounds of it yes, you can burn directly to DVD-R and it will play on DVD players.

I was doing same thing yesterday. I created disk from Studio 8 and then I used RecordNow. I just create DVD-Data disk with VIDEO_TS folder. It plays fine on my DVD-Players.
BTW - I was testin also burning with Studio 8. I was able to burn to +RW but not to -RW disk (that was reason why I uised RecordNow later to test it if I can avoid coesters with Studio8 burning process).
