Hey guys,
I'm gonna be in the market for a dvdr after xmas, and i just wanna clear up a few questions i have... to justify buying the burner.
Can I put multiple divx or xvid movies onto a dvdr and just use a menu to play the different ones?
I doub that standalone dvd players support the divx/xvid codecs, so can it be done?
Thanks for the help guys!
P.S. - I put this post in here, as I had NO idea where to post it LOL![]()

Standalone DVD players do not support Divx, so no it cant be done, the way you want. You could however convert your Divx to mpeg and burn as DVD or VCD-DVD and play them on your DVD player. You could then have more than 1 movie accessed via a menu.

If you are goung to convert use TMPGEnc, this has templates for VCD, SVCD and DVD. This way you know you will be making a compliant file. MPEG1 for VCD, MPEG2 for SVCD or DVD.
