  1. I recently discover how to create VBR MP2 and 2 channels AC3.

    My question is easy:

Which format gives the best quality @ 128 kbs stereo (VBR)?

I tested it but I don't hear any difference.
    Did anybody compare it?

You can't use ac3 audio on an svcd and i believe svcd only allows you to use cbr audio but i'm not to sure about that.

The SVCD specs actually allow for VBR audio, but alot of dvd players have problems with it.

You will have an extremely tough time finding a dvd player that will play ac3 audio in a SVCD (XSVCD). Even if your's does, you are not going to get any real benefit using only 2 channels. Stick to mpeg1 audio layer II like the standard supports, otherwise if your current dvd player breaks you may be stuck with a whole bunch of silent movies.

  4. Ok thanks. Now I'll test all these things ... in one or 2 days I'll tell you how it works.
