    Hello all,

I work in motorsports and I have 2 cameras on the truck (yes race truck...)

They record in MP2 and using mediainfo i could make that the audio is as follows :

    Audio
    ID : 192 (0xC0)
    Format : MPEG Audio
Version du format : Version 1
Profil du format : Layer 2
    Durée : 14mn 40s
    Type de débit : Constant
    Débit : 256 Kbps
    Canaux : 2 canaux
    Echantillonnage : 48,0 KHz
    Résolution : 16 bits
Delai par rapport Vidéo : -241ms

Now i'd like to extract the audio from 1 video, edit it and repaste it in the video (and in the other one because i have sound on only 1 camera....)

    Thanks for the help

  2. What's the container? MPG? TS? M2TS? MP4? MOV? AVI? There are many muxing/demuxing tools.

  4. Try DGIndex ; you may have to rename the extension from .mp2 to .mpg

  5. TsMuxerGUI can demux from the .MPG (MPEG program stream) container. But it can only mux them into .TS or .M2TS containers. TMPGEnc Free's mux/demux tools should be able to handle both mux and demux with the .MPG container. Audacity (free audio editor) can import from MP2 audio, either from a demuxed file or from an MPG file.

Ok, thanks for the help, DGindex did the trick, I can get the file in .mp2 format with just the audio.

Now i need to be able to add audio to an .mp2 MPEG-PS file to be able to paste my audio file on my second video file (which has no audio...), I'ved looked in DGIndex but apparently there is not option to mux audio into a file, just extract from it, can you point at a program that would allow me do mux my extracted audio file into the other video file ?

Once I've finished this audio adding I want to encode the final file (video+audio) in .mp2 MPEG-PS format into H264 or something like that but I'll post in the video section

    Thanks again

  7. You can try muxman or imagompeg-muxer to mux the audio & video into MPEG-PS

    Finally got it
Extract the audio using dgindex, then compress the video to h264 using super, then reimport the sound into the h264 as mkv using mkvmerge...

Final file is mkv 275 megs instead to 1g mp2

    Thanks !!
