I need help!
I have converted old VHS film on to mini DV camcorder. My Sony MiniDV has USB connection to computer, When I try to capture the file on the computer, It only allows me to capture 5 minutesworth of video. Can some one show me a process to convert 60 minute tape on to computer and burn it on CDR?
Thanks.

With your present hardware, you could copy 12 files of 5 minutes each and then merge (Append) them together using VirtualDub.
Or you could get a video card with "Video In" or a video Capture card.
Each card would come with a utility that could "record" the video and save it as a file(s) on your computer.
Then you could use a utility like TMPGEnc to convert the file to either VCD, SVCD or DVD format so it could be burnt to a CDR and played on a stand alone DVD player.
Hope this helps.--

Good point vcdfreak, I didn't even notice that he was using USB. Considering firewire cards are about $15-20, there's no point in not getting one. USB 1.1 is not suited for video work, and there is a world of quality between DV and usb. DV takes about 13GB per hour, so unless you have NTFS as your file system (WinNT, 2k, or XP) you'll be limited to 4GB (which is about 20minutes) per capture file.

I was having the same problem I could only get aboput 15 minutes with Ulead Video Factory, but I had a capture card. I tried different softwares including Ulead Video Studio 6 with no help then I tried Cyberlink Power VCR II Deluxe v. 3.0618 and now I'm capturing more than 30 minutes.
