  1. I know what frameserving does, but I don't understand why to do it. Does it create a better quality file than using a temporary hard disk file. It it faster than a temporary file? If so, by how much? What are the advantages and disadvantges of using frameserving over an actual hard disk file? Hope I explained myself OK.

  2. you can use a frameserver to eliminate an intermedary file that gets created when you cut out commercials and such. I find it slower than just dubing and converting that way.
