    letmeinforgodsake,

Actually, I purchsed 2 USB lan cards by Linksys.
They're 10/100 USB Network adapter for quick connections.
MODEL: USB100TX, case you were wondering.

I've ben think of this route about 4 months ago, and bought
these card usb devices for $20 a piece. I thought that was
pretty cheap, since I wanted only USB, and not something
that I have to fiddle with internally! And for it's flexibility! I'm not too concirned with it's speed. I think it's
only 1.2mb/sec - I can live with it!

But, I was/am afraid to hook these to PC's togther because as
I understand it, any Networking on PC's will, if not Grind your
pc, then slow down your PC to some extent, and since I do a
bunch of Capturing with my DC10+ card, I figure this would happen,
less I'm wrong? Or are there methods to over-come this slowup?

    Thanks!

I use a P3 450, and the speed loss is not noticeable, unlike the old days with 486 machines it was.

Cool on the USB cards, I have some old ISA hard wired IRQ's, just put them in as a test, but they work so well they stuck... 3rd machine has a SMC PCI !, but they are all connected to the internet via a broadband cable modem.

There are better ways, but heck when its all working you don't want to spend more

    Wish list:
    US Robotics cable router

    SlicknPick and letmeinforgodsake,

I've completed my scan via Ad-Ware and have posted
    the results over HERE!:

Sorry for not getting back to you. I did have
some issues with trying to get the image (.gif) to
display, but with out success. Then, I figure,
better just pop a link to my web site (its empty),
and just copy the .gif file there, but I had problems
with the ftp app. I couldn't remember how to set
it out - well, I did finally manage it. But I had
to juggle around with jumping from one pc to another
and that was a pain in the ass! Maybe setting up
a small network isn't such a bad idea!

Anyways, I hope the above link isn't too slow for
your viewing. It took about 30+ seconds to load,
less you have a faster connection - mine is 56k

Maybe I'll go with Directv's DLS or whatever they
are calling offer. Anybody know anything about it?

Thanks all for being there for me!

PS: I'm starting a new post (link), because this one
is just too long for me, and scrolling left to right is
a real pain in the ass! So, I'm closing this one down.
Thanks to all those that contributed! So, see you at
    the new link!

Look for: "GROKSTER - or something better ??"
