    1. i want quality recordings.
    2. i would like to watch tv on my computere.
    what hardware should i get? the output is the greatest importance.

    ATI's AIW family is probably what you'd want as they can capture in good quality, they have an included tuner, and since they are internal you can capture at better bit rates than most external hardware
