My Homeworx 150 and accompanying external 2TB HDD are both getting long in the tooth. I am seeking a replacement for them, but here I want to discuss the PVR options (I already have an external HDD in mind).

There is an update to the Homeworx 150, the 250, which I think also supports 4TB external storage now?? But, I have looked into Tablo and a few others, and it seems these others may not play the .MTS files the Homeworx device writes.

I have no cable and no current plan for acquiring it. Internet access is nice, but not absolutely necessary. ATS 3.0 would also be nice, but it is not a need — yet.
