It's not really a problem more of a quirk - when I play the VCD created with Nero in my DVD-player the display says "PBC", and I can't fast-forward or rewind the movie, or it stops. I have a feeling this is because I'm making some kind of mistake when burning the mpeg, anyone have an idea what it could be?

try turning PBC off in the remote... ot go to the FAQs section to fix your problem.
