It's not easy to make from official latest version a custom like you do for older windows?


I ask you again that cause if you stop supporting older machines how we can follow the latest versions of mkvtoolnix for old pc's?

No. It is as automated as I can make it.

I cannot make a simple, automated tool for you. If no builds were available and you wanted a build, you would have to compile it yourself.
That would also be true if the author didn't provide builds and only shared source code.

My suggestion is either learn how to compile mkvtoolnix or use the builds provided.

Hello.
I still have no issue building the QT5 mxe, but with last commits, i'm not able to build mkvtoolnox QT5.
I've reverted what seems not QT5 compliant, but now i have an issue during mkvtoolnix build, i have an error saying that ATTACH_PARENT_PROCESS is not defined in the scope when compiling mkvtoolnix.cpp.
Have you the same issue, and if yes, how did you solve it ?

Edit:
This was with the 98.0.98, just pulled the 99.0.0, and now QT5 builds...
Anyway, i'll not complain that things are working.

I am glad to hear that you were able to build mkvtoolnix. There were certainly Qt5 incompatible
changes that had to be reverted this time around. But the Qt5 builds have survived another release.

This was built with Qt6 modified with Windows 7 compatibility patches from here:
https://github.com/crystalidea/qt6windows7

My testing shows this build works fine on Windows 8.1 but does not work on Windows 7*.
Test if you wish.

I think this concludes my Qt6 testing.

*UPDATE: To run it on Windows 7 download the support libraries below and place the files for your architecture into the MKVToolnix folder.

That has not been my experience with Qt6. Can you verify that you are testing the Qt6 version?
