  1. In the recent past, was able to download from NBC.com simply using yt-dlp. But found no longer possible as NBC.com now using DRM. Saw threads here suggesting use of WidevineProxy2. WidevineProxy2 gave seemingly good MPD URL, PSSH, keys, and N_m3u8DL-RE command. But got tons of "Non-monotonous DTS in output stream 0:0" WARNs during muxing, and video was still encrypted/scrambled. It was actually a bit strange -- there was a 30-second viewable commercial at the beginning of the video, but then the show content following was scrambled. Hmmm...

Is N_m3u8DL-RE not decrypting the show content "segments" because the initial commercial "segment" is not encrypted? Do not see any "decrypting" INFO log messages in N_m3u8DL-RE ouptput. Took a look at MPD contents and noticed some "<Period ...>" elements contained a "<ContentProtection ...>" child-element, while many others did NOT. Are the ones without a "<ContentProtection ...>" child-element the non-encrypted "commercials" segments? Deleted all "<Period ...>" elements without a "<ContentProtection ...>" child-element from the MPD and used that edited MPD file with the N_m3u8DL-RE command. IT WORKED! Now N_m3u8DL-RE decrypts the audio and video files and then muxes! Still getting a handful of "Non-monotonic DTS" WARNs during muxing but I can live with that. Is this because of the deleted "<Period ...>" elements?

So I could write some code to download the MPD file and then delete the "commercials" elements. But is there already something out there to use for this? Are there some N_m3u8DL-RE options that would ignore the "commercials" elements in the MPD? Is there another tool I could use that would ignore these elements? Thx!
