I heard that if you want subtitles, you have to encode the movie with TMPGEnc first which takes atleast about 8 hours..then, to put subtitles on the movie, you have to REencode it with TMPGEnc which take another 8 hours ? is this true?

	there's no re-recording necessary...just some extra (or different) programs along the way... 
 
 1) add vobsub/vdub to smartripper->dvd2avi->vobsub/vdub->tmpgenc
