Using old pinnacle studio files to load and re-edit.

I used pinnacle when it first came out and it was very easy to use. I am trying 26 trial but it will not load my old files from version 12 or 14, I don't remember. The program hangs and then crashes. I'm considering buying an old version pinnacle studio 12, as I hear it was the last solid version? But will it run on windows 11? I am re-editing 100 old videos and having all the old work already done for me (I will be making some changes) will save me months of work. To be clear: Ten years ago I saved the projects and I have all of those projects saved along with the original captured video. Pinnacle claims these can be loaded to version 26 but they do not load so I either need to find a way to load these to 26 or find a way to get version 12 which is more than 10 years old, and use it on my windows 11. I'm sure the old saved projects will load in version 12.

I have removed Pinnacle 24 from my computer because I wasn't using it on a regular basis. Just out of curiosity are you using File > Import previous Pinnacle Studio Projects?

doesn't the project point to paths where the original assets lie?
Wouldn't that be invalid now, on a diffeent PC?

You choose the location of the file through 26 or simply click on the file and select the software you want to open it. It loads and then it asks you where the original video file is and you find it and select it. And I have it working now when I "reset" studio 26
