  1. I'm using CC Extractor to get the subtitle from the video. At first, I got the message "Failed to open input file (gf_isom_open() returned error), so I decided to convert the MP4 file to MKV and tried again. And now I getting a subtitle file, but timestamps are wrong.

Does anyone know how to get proper subtitles?

Here's the link with the video file: https://mega.nz/file/WMVhDaYa#cUNfpa1VYMO-XIZhQ88SKMVpfoFxMJzMFWvVcLvsvP8

    Appreciate any help

    Code:
    ffmpeg -f lavfi -data_field 0 -i "movie=video.mp4[out+subcc]" -map 0:1 subtitle.srt
Then you can fix it with subtitle edit

    Use clever FFmpeg-GUI.
Load your mp4, click main page, click extract EIA 608/708, click extract.
Done. You'll find it as new srt file in your target folder.
