Yep. IDM is good. But it is not free after the trial period and it doesn't get us closer to understanding how to do it all and that's the main thing we're after, often. I may only ever download a couple from some site with 'problems' and then they never again are of any interest to me. But what remains of interest and value is that big computer code savvy that presented the problem and then solved it.

right now I, for instance still cannot find how to download substack videos. IDM does it okay so I know it can be done. And I have a thread here that gave a python solution but my python install (and fresh reinstall) will not do it. Will not include a required module. I never got a solution to that.

Since then I've never seen another substack video that I really want though I see plenty I wouldn't mind having. Like the current ones about Kurakhovo residents recounting their problems under Kiev ukraine occupation. I wouldn't mind having them but really just having their URLs is good enough for my purposes (building a reference 'dossier').

But the computer code problem underneath it ! That's what I want solved.

If anyone has any knowledge please share.

IDM works for this particular case, unencrypted video.

For your case, I see that someone has nicely provided a custom script for the website you want to download videos from. I have also replied to your post on that thread.
