VCD autorun in Ulead Movie Factory

I tried Ulead DVD Movie Factory to make VCDs with menus and I found it quite good, even with so few menu templates.

But there's a lack, which is important for me, I couln't find a workaround to add autorun (and texts) files in .ixa image file to make autoplay VCDs to use them in my PC.

Does anybody know a trick to do this ? I tried IsoBuster with the .ixa image, but I couldn't find what to do with the converted .bin file.

P.S. Also, Is there a way to add extra menu templates ?

i don't know exactly what u want because i don't have enough experince in that program

but if u want a program to autorun your CDs i have cool one and it is free

Thanks, but I already have a good software player to burn with my VCDs to make they play automatically.

I know how to burn autorun VCDs using Nero and Creator. My problem is how to put the player.exe and autorun.inf in the root of .ixa image created from DVD Movie Factory.

What is it exactly that you want to do?

I use Movie Factory too and I play the VCD on my PC. After placing the VCD in the CD/DVD ROM, it takes me to a screen that shows the folders and files on the VCD. I select the folder MPEGAV and open it and get two DAT files that are AVSEQ01 which is my introduction and menu and the other is AVSEQ02 which is the movie. When I open the second one with the movie on it, it asks me what I want to open with so I select Windows Media Player and it immediately goes there and starts playing so I open up to full screen and watch the movie there if I want. I don't need the other DAT file since I don't need menus or scenes because the slider bar will take me where ever I want to go.

Hi dannee,

I want to be able to burn other files on the same CD where my VCD will be created by Movie Factory. These other files have nothing to do with the VCD. They are part of a multimedia application that will be executed when this CD is put on a computer.

This is possible with NERO, but then, Nero is not good at menus and it does not give the possibility of making chapters, as Movie Factory does.

I myself am looking for a way to create an autorun file to put onto the vcd created when ulead burns the vcd. I have so far been unable to figure it out or find any information on how to do it.
If anyone figures this out I would really appreciate the solution.
