Newbie long term storage question

I have recorded some woodworking classes I’ve taken with a GoPro. A week long class typically winds up with 7 hours of video that would be 466GB to store at 1080 resolution.
I’m using iMovie on an M1 Mac with 8gb ram. Currently storing things on a SanDisc ssd drive.
What’s the best long term storage solution if I want to keep this class for review down the road?
I was considering buying Toast and putting on an M-Disc.
I’m also unsure what resolution I really need to be saving this in.

Here is what I suggest ...

Purchase a 512G Flash Thumb Drive

Copy the 466GB of video to the Flash. Save in same resolution and file extension. Don't change anything.

Place a label on the Flash Drive so that you will find it easier.

If backup is required, then repeat the process.

I agree with Gromyko in principle, the only thing I would change is to use an internal SSD or NVMe with an adapter, something like this:
