    Hello,

I have been experiencing conversion troubles with multiple mp4 -> [vob, bup and ifo] conversions with dvd flick.

I noticed similar kind of posts before and this post can and should be put to the right location as well.

So the problem is that at certain but not all conversions the resulting files (ImgBurn to dvd-r) will have two specific problems and I have got over a dozen of such failed dvds by now so I decided to find out what the f is going on by coming here and asking someone who actually knows their way around the details etc.

I read from some post that the stuff I am experiencing: Every second or so the picture pulsates / stops for a tenth of a second and then continues like that. Also I believe that it happens more clearly during scenes where there is a lot of movement involved. Besides that I know that the audio is screwed if this stuttering is on the dvd: The audio comes too soon so the mouth movements while speaking look horrid. I found a way to go around that by changing a setting from my tv. Makes the audio come out when it should but preferably I would like all the dvds to work like the original mp4 files: Flawlessly...

Original pal mp4 file that of course goes down in quality when it is forced into a smaller dvd-r disc. The second one is the first of five pal vob files and I believe that someone who understands what is going on can find the problem from here. I thought the problem had something to do with 24fps turning into 25fps but that doesn´t seem to be the case after all. So, please help me, pretty please?

To ensure the symptoms are not due to poor burn/media, use the utility mentioned here to test it in the PC,
ie., the "Disk Quality" and "Scan disc" tabs

I used DVDFlick years ago. I stopped using it for a reason although I can't recall what that reason was now.

Have you tried other conversion software? I recommend trying AVDtoDVD, a newer simple DVD converter. It has a PAL speed-up option for converting from 24 fps to 25 fps. (Options > Preferences > AviSynth > Use PAL SpeedUp)
