You have to install CtranslateX (Needs Python)
https://github.com/Softcatala/whisper-ctranslate2
SE uses cpp by default and it is not the best choice -
-
I am not saying that because I never used it. In fact I don't use SubtitleEdit to transcribe but some people prefer using a GUI.
The best is the Whisper AI Command Line (cmd). If you know how to use CMD, then this is the way to go.

Well if you don't want to install any other Whisper bundles, then you would have to be content using the default cpp.

-
Download it from there https://github.com/Purfview/whisper-standalone-win. [binaries are located in Releases]
Use Whisper-Faster (aka "Ctranslate2"), just rename it to "whisper-ctranslate2.exe". It doesn't need to install Python. -

Well, could explain this for me?

Your question was answered already: https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/410316-How-to-get-CtranslaterX-on-subtitle-edit#post2696924
Seriously, do you suffer from dyslexia? -
I will say thank you to you unless I got an answer. I said " how to get Ctranslater2 on subtitle edit" and your answer was to install on github which makes me more confusing, so therefore you didn't answer my question only you making me more confusing and you said I should thank you for making me more confuse, what is this?
Alright if you want I should say thank you, I will say it, "thank you for making me more confusing."Last edited by Mohamed61020; 10th Jul 2023 at 04:21.

I don't need your thanks believe me. This will be my last reply to you ever.
You started this thread with the title:
How to get CtranslaterX on Subtitle Edit
Which even confused me because it should have been CTranslate2
So I told you where to get the installation instructions from GitHub for "CTranslate2" to install ON YOUR COMPUTER
Apparently you didn't understand even that, because if you did the installation on your computer, then you would have seen that Subtitle Edit will recognize this option in the selection menu. -
