  1. Hello. Is it possible to load a stream in VLC and pipe it into ffmpeg etc?
    I have tried this...

    Code:
    vlc <stream url> | ffprobe -i pipe:0
    But it returns...

    Code:
pipe:0: Invalid data found when processing input

Depends on OS - Windows support for named pipes is quite limited.

  3. I am trying to load this stream http://hd-hsslive-nowtv-gcdn.skycdn.it/23023/FHD/skysportuno.isml/Manifest

ffmpeg cant load that url for some reason, but vlc can. vlc cant decrypt streams, but ffmpeg can.
I am hoping I could load the stream in vlc, then pipe it into ffmpeg and use the -cenc_decrypt_key option to decrypt it.
