  1. If I download an online video in the HLS streaming format, the downloaded file will often play back with stutters. Encoding the video will clear the stuttering, but as the playback goes on, the audio and video will gradually slip out of sync, with the video ahead of the audio.

    I have tried various settings in Handbrake to determine what is causing the sync issue, but to no avail.

    Does anyone have a solution?

    I have a number of Firefox browser extension and add-ons -- VideoDownloadHelper, Flash Video Downloader, among others. Any file downloaded in the selected HLS format results in the video stuttering and being choppy (the audio is fine). When this file is encoded (using Handbrake for example), the audio and video slip out of sync as described above.

  4. I doubt you're going to get much help with that vague information.
    As vegeta said, provide an example link so others can test to see if they get the same behaviour.
