Have any of them ever payed out?
You know, the "I will e-transfer a certain amount of money if you can solve this problem for me" new users with single-digit post counts.

Helpful forum regulars usually just help these users out of a sense of community participation...but I was just curious.

A friend of mine did help one of them. And he got payd 10 times less then the initial deal was. Still was worth it, he said.

I used to make trailer skins (paint jobs for you non-gamers) and such for a game called Euro Truck Simulator, and some people asked me to do that and then stiffed me. So later when someone asked me to do it I said sure, but you have to pay in advance. One guy says "If I pay in advance, how do I know you will make the mod?" and I said "How do I know you would pay me if I made the mod first?" After that instead of making skins for people I showed them how to make them themselves.
